Industries

Built for businesses that win customers online.

The common thread isn't the industry. It's that your leads, calls, bookings or sales come from being found online, and there's more work in that than your team has hours for. Here's what AI would run in a business like yours.

Free, 30 minutes, phone or Google Meet. No pitch deck.

Same system, different jobs

The departments are the same everywhere. The jobs inside them aren't.

Every business on this page needs the same nine departments: lead generation, advertising, follow-up, website and content, social media, reporting, customer communications, admin and strategy. What changes from industry to industry is what wins a customer, where the money leaks, and which jobs pay back first.

A plumber lives on the phone ringing and the first callback. An HVAC company lives on the weather and on maintenance agreements. A roofer lives on storms and big-ticket quotes. An interior designer lives on taste and trust. A store lives on creative that wears out in days. A publisher lives on traffic, reach and the email list.

So we don't hand you a template. We go through your business one job at a time, ask which ones AI can do better, faster and cheaper, and build the systems on your own accounts. Below is what that looks like in each industry we work with.

The systems themselves were built and proven in my own businesses, a portfolio of publishing businesses I own and run on AI. A client build for a plumbing company is underway, and I'm currently accepting a few more clients. I don't quote plumbing, HVAC or design results on this site, and I won't until there are real ones to share with the client's approval.

Plumbing

The plumber who calls back first gets the job.

What wins customers

Speed and trust. When a water heater is leaking or a drain backs up, the homeowner searches, calls two or three companies, and books whoever answers or calls back first. Reviews and a strong Google Business Profile decide which names make the shortlist. For bigger jobs like water heater replacements and repipes, a clear quote and a follow-up call close the sale.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Missed calls after hours, on weekends and while the office is on another line.
  • Quotes that go out and are never followed up.
  • Ad spend judged on clicks or calls instead of booked jobs.
  • Reviews that never get asked for after a good job.
  • An owner who can't say which ad or page made the phone ring.

What AI runs

  • Missed-call rescue. A missed call gets a text within a minute asking what the problem is, qualifies it (repair, replacement or emergency; address inside the service area) and offers a slot or routes an emergency to the on-call tech, under your rules.
  • Quote follow-up. Every open water heater, repipe or sewer-line quote is followed up on a schedule until it's booked or declined.
  • Ads judged by booked jobs. Google and Facebook campaigns are judged every morning on cost per booked job, inside your budget caps.
  • Review requests. Every closed job triggers a thank-you and a review link.
  • Seasonal content and posts. Frozen-pipe pages before the first cold snap, water heater flush reminders, before-and-after posts from real jobs.
  • The 7 am report. Yesterday's calls, missed calls already texted back, jobs booked, revenue and cost per booked job by source.

  • Is it time to replace my water heater?. Age, symptoms and model sticker photo in; a repair-or-replace verdict and a booking button out.
  • Drain and sewer problem checker. Answer five questions about the symptom; get the likely cause, urgency and a same-day booking option.
  • Whole-home repipe cost estimator. Home size, age and pipe type in; a cost range and the questions to ask any plumber.

HVAC

Heat waves, cold snaps and slow weeks, each handled on purpose.

What wins customers

Being available when the weather turns, and being trusted for the big decision. On the first hot day of summer, everyone's air conditioner breaks at once, and the company that answers gets the job. Replacement sales are high-ticket and considered, so they're won by clear options, financing and follow-up. Maintenance agreements are the steady base that carries the business through the slow months.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Peak days when the phones overflow and calls go to voicemail.
  • Replacement quotes that sit unanswered for weeks while the homeowner "thinks about it".
  • Maintenance agreements that lapse because nobody sent the renewal reminder.
  • Ad budgets that stay flat when demand spikes and keep spending when the calendar is already full.
  • Tune-up reminders that go out late or not at all.

What AI runs

  • Peak-day overflow. When call volume spikes, every caller who can't get through gets an immediate text, is triaged (no cooling, no heat, noise, maintenance) and is offered the next slot or a callback, inside the rules you set.
  • Replacement quote follow-up. A sequence that answers the common questions (efficiency, financing, timing), checks in on a schedule, and hands the hot ones to your comfort advisor.
  • Maintenance agreements. Renewal reminders, tune-up scheduling and win-back for lapsed members, sent on time.
  • Seasonal ads judged by booked jobs. Cooling campaigns rise in a heat wave and fall back when the board is full, inside a ceiling you approved.
  • Seasonal content. "Should I repair or replace?" pages, filter reminders and pre-season tune-up posts, timed to your climate.

Roofing

Big tickets, storm seasons and a long road from inspection to signature.

What wins customers

Trust and timing. A roof is one of the biggest purchases a homeowner makes, so they compare, read reviews and look for proof of past work. After a storm, demand arrives all at once, and the roofer who inspects first and explains the insurance process clearly tends to win. For planned replacements, the sale can take weeks of follow-up.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Storm-surge inquiries that wait days for a reply.
  • Inspections done and estimates sent with no follow-up.
  • Expensive leads bought from shared lead services, with no way to compare them against your own ads.
  • Finished projects that never become photos, case pages or posts.
  • No clear view of which neighborhoods and sources produce signed contracts.

What AI runs

  • Storm-response mode. When a storm hits your area, pre-approved ads and pages for storm-damage inspections go live inside a budget ceiling you set, and every inquiry is answered and booked for inspection in minutes.
  • Estimate follow-up. Every estimate gets a planned sequence: what's included, material options, financing, answers to common insurance questions, and check-ins until it's signed or declined.
  • Project content. Every completed roof becomes a project page and a set of before-and-after posts, tagged by neighborhood.
  • Source comparison. Bought leads, your own ads and referrals are tracked side by side to signed contract, so you can see what each one is actually worth.

Electrical · Landscaping · Pest control · Cleaning · Garage doors · Pools

Every trade that lives on the phone ringing and the calendar filling.

The pattern from plumbing, HVAC and roofing carries across the home services. What changes is the rhythm of the work. Here's where AI earns its keep in each.

Electrical. Homeowners call for small jobs (outlets, fixtures, panels) and some of those turn into big ones (EV chargers, panel upgrades, generators). AI answers and qualifies every inquiry, flags the upgrade opportunities, follows up those quotes, and runs content on the questions people search for before an EV charger install.

Landscaping. The business is seasonal and visual. AI turns every finished yard into before-and-after posts, runs spring and fall campaigns on a schedule, sends recurring-maintenance renewals, and follows up design quotes through the long consideration period.

Pest control. Recurring plans are the core of the business, and urgent calls are the way in. AI answers urgent inquiries in minutes, books inspections, converts one-time treatments into recurring plans with follow-up, and reminds plan customers before each visit.

Cleaning. Recurring bookings, reschedules and reviews make or break the business. AI handles confirmations, reminders and reschedules inside your rules, asks every happy customer for a review, and wins back customers who drop off.

Garage doors. Calls are urgent (a broken spring, a door that won't close) and the jobs are quick. AI answers instantly, triages the problem, books same-day slots, and judges ads by booked jobs so spend follows the repairs that pay.

Pools. Construction is a long, high-ticket sale. Service is recurring and seasonal. AI nurtures construction leads through design and financing questions, runs opening and closing campaigns on schedule, and keeps service routes full with reminders.

Interior design

Studios that win on taste, trust and fast replies.

What wins customers

Homeowners fall in love with a look on Instagram, Pinterest or Houzz, then hire the designer who answers first and feels like the right fit. A strong portfolio, a clear sense of style and a quick, personal reply matter more than any ad. Many clients aren't ready to start for months, so the studio that stays in touch gets the project.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Inquiries that come in on Sunday night and wait until Wednesday.
  • Time spent on discovery calls with people whose budget or timeline doesn't fit.
  • Finished projects that never become portfolio pages, posts or pins.
  • Proposals sent and never followed up.
  • "Not yet" clients who are forgotten by the time they're ready.

What AI runs

  • Inquiry response and qualification. Every inquiry, from the website, Instagram or Houzz, gets a reply in minutes in the studio's voice. AI asks about scope, budget, timeline and style, and books the right-fit clients for a discovery call, using your criteria.
  • Project content. Every finished project becomes a portfolio page, a "what we chose and why" article, and a run of Instagram and Pinterest posts, checked by a second AI and approved by you.
  • Proposal follow-up. Planned check-ins after every proposal until it's signed or declined.
  • Long-term nurture. "Not yet" clients get occasional, useful emails: seasonal ideas, recent projects, a note when your calendar opens.

My largest business is a home-improvement publishing business, run on AI. The content, image and Pinterest systems it runs on are the same kind we'd put behind a design studio.

Ecommerce

Stores that need a steady stream of content, creative and email.

What wins customers

Volume and freshness. Ecommerce runs on product pages that answer every question, ad creative that wears out in days, and email that brings buyers back. The stores that grow are the ones that test the most creative, find the winners fastest and keep their customers buying.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Ad creative that keeps running after it's stopped working.
  • A handful of ad variations tested when there should be hundreds.
  • Thin product pages and missing size, fit or use information that sends buyers back to search.
  • Abandoned carts that nobody follows up.
  • Return on ad spend reported by the ad platform instead of by actual orders and margin.

What AI runs

  • Creative at volume. AI makes and tests large numbers of ad variations (images, hooks, copy, formats), retires the tired ones and scales the winners inside your caps.
  • Product content. Product descriptions, buying guides and comparison pages, written in your voice and checked by a second AI.
  • Email that sells. Welcome, abandoned-cart, post-purchase, replenishment and win-back sequences, written and sent on schedule, each measured.
  • Profit by product. Spend, orders and margin reconciled every morning, so you see which products and campaigns actually make money.

The ad engine behind this is the same one that bought 3M+ Facebook ad clicks on my two largest sites in 2026 (Meta Ads API, 2026 to Oct 11).

Publishing and media

Where every one of these systems was built.

What wins readers

Useful content in volume, distribution on every channel, and an email list that keeps readers coming back. Publishers live on traffic, social reach and subscribers, and the ones that grow are the ones that publish, promote and learn fastest.

Where the work and the money leak

  • Writers and editors as the bottleneck on how much gets published.
  • Pages that never get promoted after they go live.
  • Social pages posting a few times a week with flat reach.
  • Email lists that grow slowly because sign-ups are an afterthought.
  • Ad-buying for traffic judged on clicks instead of the revenue each visit earns.

What AI runs

This is my own industry, so these are the systems I run every day.

  • The content engine. Research, writing, original images and infographics, a second-AI check on every page and image, and scheduled publishing. My businesses went from 35 pages a week to 145 (4.1x), Jun 1 to the week of Oct 5 2026, and an AI editor took the place of a US$6,000-a-month editing role.
  • Promotion on publish. The moment a page goes live, its ads are built and its social posts are queued.
  • Social at volume. AI went from 46 posts a week to 320 (7x), Jun 22–Oct 11 2026. Organic Facebook views grew from about 6.5K a week in January to 1.2M in the week of Oct 5 (190x), with zero ad spend. In fairness, 91% of that final week came from one viral page on a newer site.
  • List growth. Offers and sign-ups tested on every page. My largest list has 49K subscribers at a 46% open rate (Oct 2026).
  • Traffic overall. 27.3M pageviews across my sites in 2026 (weeks of Feb 23–Oct 5, to Oct 11).

Auto repair · Moving · Salons · Fitness · Real estate

Any business where customers search, compare and book online.

If customers find you on Google, Facebook or Instagram before they ever call or walk in, AI can do more of that work, faster and for less. Here's what it looks like in practice.

Auto repair. Customers search when something's wrong and book whoever gives them a clear answer. AI answers inquiries in minutes, books appointments, sends "your car is ready" and service-due reminders, and asks for reviews after every visit.

Moving and storage. Quotes are the whole game, and they're time-sensitive. AI qualifies every inquiry (dates, size, distance), sends the quote fast, follows up before the move date gets close, and runs seasonal campaigns for the busy months.

Salons and spas. Rebooking, no-shows and reviews decide the month. AI confirms and reminds every appointment, fills cancellations from a waitlist, prompts rebooking after each visit, and posts the stylists' work on schedule.

Fitness studios. Trials have to turn into memberships, and members have to keep coming. AI follows up every trial, nudges members who stop showing up, and runs class-schedule posts and offers.

Real estate teams. Leads come in fast from many sources and most aren't ready yet. AI responds to every inquiry in minutes, qualifies buyers and sellers, keeps long-term leads warm with useful, local updates, and turns every listing into posts and pages.

Are we a fit?

Honest answers before the first call.

You're a fit if…

  • Customers find you online, or you want them to.
  • You already spend on marketing, or on people to do it.
  • You have more leads, content or follow-up than your team can keep up with.
  • You want systems that run every day, not a one-off chatbot.
  • You're established: real revenue, a team, and marketing that already pays for itself.

Probably not a fit if…

  • You want AI because it's trendy. A job only goes to AI when AI does it better, faster and cheaper than a person.
  • There's no online presence and no plan to build one. Everything runs through your website, ads, social and email.
  • Your business has elevated privacy or confidentiality requirements. We don't work with law firms, medical, dental or health practices, financial advisors or accounting firms.

Only a small number of businesses are taken on at a time, so we'd rather be straight with you now than waste your time later.

Questions

About industries.

My industry isn't listed. Can you still help?

Probably, if customers find you online. The departments are the same in every business that wins customers through search, ads, social and email. On the call we'll go through your jobs one at a time and tell you honestly whether AI can do them better, faster and cheaper.

Do you have results for plumbing, HVAC or design businesses?

Not yet to share. The figures on this site come from my own publishing businesses. A client build for a plumbing company is underway, and I won't quote results from it until they're in and the client approves.

Will it work with my field-service or booking software?

AI connects to what you already use, including tools like ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, HubSpot, QuickBooks and Shopify. Each connection depends on that tool's access and your plan, so we confirm every one during the audit instead of assuming.

Can you build a tool that isn't on your list?

Yes. If you can describe the decision it should help your customer make, we can build it, put it on your site, connect it to your follow-up and measure what it produces.

Why don't you work with law, medical or accounting firms?

Those businesses have elevated confidentiality requirements. We'd rather do excellent work for businesses where these systems fit cleanly than stretch them into places they don't belong.

The next step

Whatever you sell, the leaks look the same. So does the fix.

A plumber's missed call, a roofer's unanswered estimate, a designer's Sunday-night inquiry, a store's tired ad creative and a salon's no-show are all the same problem wearing different clothes. Work that should happen every day only happens when somebody has time.

AI has the time. It answers in minutes, checks every campaign every morning, follows up until there's an answer, and measures everything against its source, inside the limits you set. And every week the loop makes it a little better.

Book the free call. In 30 minutes you'll know exactly what AI should take over first in your business and what it should be worth to you.

Free, 30 minutes, phone or Google Meet. No pitch deck. Only a small number of businesses are taken on at a time.
